SIBLEY, Iowa — Noteboom Implement has a new, highly upgraded building with state-of-the-art equipment in this Osceola County community.

The main highlight, according to the store manager, is an air-conditioned environment.

“We have a totally climate- controlled shop,” Bob Schlesser said. “It’s a huge upgrade for our shop. It makes the employees more efficient for our customers.”

Noteboom Implement recently moved from Iowa 9 to just off of Minnesota 60’s Exit 51. The business went from an approximately 10,000-square-foot building to a new, 30,000-square-foot building.

“Our parts inventory will double with the added space,” Schlesser said.

With the new building, new jobs were also added.

“Since the first of the year, we added six new jobs in total,” explained Schlesser. “Three are in the shop, two in the sales department and one in parts.”

The company moved into its new building this past Tuesday, so there is still much work to be done.

“There is still machinery to be moved,” Schlesser said. “And there is a bit of tidying up to do.”

Land is available around the shop that Schlesser hopes will be developed by the business.

“Our long-term goal is to make it into an ag-related center,” he said. “It’s really an exciting time.”

With the new building, Noteboom Implement is now able to have a larger service area, which Schlesser thinks is a significant asset for the city of Sibley and local farmers.

“It’s a really exciting time for Sibley,” he said. “And also for the surrounding farmers. We are going to be a much more efficient company now.”
