Forrest is new associate at Hedeen, Hughes & Wetering
WORTHINGTON — Steven R. Forrest is the newest associate at the Worthington law firm of Hedeen, Hughes & Wetering.
“I’m doing a little bit of everything,” Forrest said of his duties in Worthington. “I’m working in family law, criminal law and child protection. I’ve also been doing more civil litigation and very much enjoy that, but I’m currently working in just about every area of law.”
Forrest joins Bill Wetering, Andrew Titus and Brian Daiker at Hedeen, Hughes & Wetering. He previously worked for a Coon Rapids firm after law school, and then practiced on his own in Slayton for a period of time before coming to Worthington.
“My wife, Michelle, is an ESL teacher at Worthington High School, and she did her student teaching there, too,” Forrest said. The couple has a daughter who will turn 2 in October.
Forrest is proficient in Spanish and noted he’s been using the language more since joined Hedeen, Hughes & Wetering.
“I already have numerous clients who speak Spanish,” Forrest said.
Wetering added that he’s pleased to have Forrest aboard.
“Steven and his wife Michelle are a great addition to the community,” Wetering said. “I am delighted to have him join the firm. Steven has a commitment to community service in keeping with the tradition of the firm.”
“Worthington has been appealing to us for a long time,” Forrest added. “My wife being an ESL teacher, along with Worthington’s cultural background, were things that were very appealing to us. We’ve bought a house in town, and living in Worthington has been great.”
