Crashes

WPD: minor crash, 2:43 p.m. Tuesday, 2000 block of U.S. 59.

Minnesota State Patrol: 4:02 p.m. Tuesday, Minnesota 30 east of Lake Wilson. A Case tractor operated by Terry Lee York, 33, of Lake Wilson was westbound on Minnesota 30 and attempted to make a left turn to go south on a gravel road. A 2001 Dodge Intrepid operated by Joyce Elaine Lupkes, 73, of Lake Wilson attempted to pass the tractor on the left, and the vehicles collided. York and Lupkes were uninjured. Judith Ann Gilbertson, 70, of Lake Wilson, a passenger in the Dodge, sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to Murray County Medical Center, Slayton. The Murray County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Wilson Fire Department and Murray County Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office: Keith Mitchell Lynch, 53, of rural Spirit Lake, Iowa was arrested Monday following a report at 3:30 p.m. Monday of a domestic disturbance in the 1800 block of 242nd Avenue. Lynch allegedly assaulted a female and threatened her with a firearm. The female fled the residence and was treated and released for injuries received. The High risk Entry and Arrest Team (HEAT) was activated and took Lynch into custody at the residence.A search warrant was obtained and executed on the residence where firearms and ammunition were seized. Lynch was charged with domestic abuse assault with a weapon, willful injury and going armed with intent (all class D felonies), intimidation with a dangerous weapon (Class C felony) and child endangerment (aggravated misdemeanor).The Dickinson County Communication Center, Dickinson County Emergency Management, Arnolds Park Police, Okoboji Police, Milford Police, Spirit Lake Police and Iowa DNR also provided assistance.

WPD: burglary, 4:40 p.m. Monday, 900 block of Smith Avenue.

WPD: motor vehicle theft, 11:07 p.m. Monday, 900 block of Third Avenue.

WPD: threat of suicide, 12:13 a.m. Tuesday.

WPD: counterfeit bills, 12:58 p.m. Tuesday, 1400 block of Oxford Street.

NCSO: theft, 2:29 p.m. Tuesday, 35000 block of 160th Street.
