Worthington man arrested on Georgia warrant


WORTHINGTON -- A Worthington man arrested March 2 on a warrant issued out of Georgia now faces charges in Nobles County District Court.

Marcus T. Brown, 31, has been charged with felony fugitive from justice from another state in Nobles County District Court.

According to the criminal complaint, the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office learned Feb. 21 of a warrant issued by the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles for Brown’s arrest. Brown had been conditionally released from the Georgia Penal System on March 11, 2016.

Teletypes indicated Brown was to be held without bond and extradited if necessary.

A conditional bond was set at $500.
