Jail in Sioux Falls releases wrong prisoner
SIOUX FALLS -- Minnehaha County Jail staff in Sioux Falls are looking for an inmate who was wrongly released on Monday, July 23.
Warden Jeff Gromer said prisoner Adrian Ray Watson, a 27-year-old charged with robbery and assault, was released from custody because staff mixed him up with another inmate who had the same name and was supposed to be let go.
Authorities are looking for Watson.
Watson’s charges stem from an incident where he was at the home of an acquaintance and got into an argument with her that led to a physical altercation, the warden said. The Watson who was accidentally released was being held on $2,500 bail by the court.
