Windom man facing attempted murder charges

WINDOM - A Windom man has been charged with attempted, second-degree murder after allegedly threatening a pregnant woman with a knife and kicked her.

Nickson Otema, 25, was arrested Sunday in connection with the case.

The criminal complaint stated that the victim was living with Otema at an apartment, and told authorities she was four months pregnant and the child belonged to the suspect.

Otema allegedly threatened the woman with a knife and told the victim he was going to "get the baby out."

Otema is scheduled to appear in court on the charges on July 1.
