Oberloh running for Worthington mayor; Dudley seeks to return to school board
WORTHINGTON — Former mayor and current Worthington City Council member Alan Oberloh filed for mayor Thursday.
Oberloh — who was elected mayor in 2002 and served three terms — will face off with incumbent mayor Mike Kuhle and newcomer Benjamin Weber.
Kuhle was elected mayor in 2014 with 44 percent of the vote, winning a three-way race against Oberloh (28 percent) and Chris Dybevick (27 percent).
Additionally, Lori Dudley has become the first candidate to file for a seat on the Independent School District 518 Board of Education. An incumbent, Dudley filed Aug. 6 for a four-year term on the board.
Dudley’s current term expires in December.
Three spots on the District 518 board will need to be filled. The filing deadline ends Tuesday.
