Police investigating damage to vehicles' windows

WORTHINGTON -- The Worthington Police Department is investigating criminal damage to windows on several vehicles and asking for help from Worthington's citizens.

The damage is being caused by one or more persons randomly driving around and shooting vehicle windows with a BB gun, according to information from Worthington Public Safety Director Mike Cumiskey.

Between 11 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, the Worthington Police Department received 12 reports of broken windows. At least five of the reports came from West Okabena Street, with others coming from First to Ninth Avenue. Several broken windows were also reported Wednesday.

If anyone has seen suspicious activity related to these cases or has information about possible suspects, they should contact the Worthington Police Department at (507) 372-2136. A cash reward is offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved with the criminal damage.
