Winners announced in lighting contest
WORTHINGTON — The Community Improvement Committee of the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce, Daily Globe and Worthington Public Utilities recently sponsored the annual Holiday Lighting Contest. Homes were judged on best use of color, most original, best composition, most spectacular and best expression of Christmas.
Residential winners are: First place ($100 off December utility bill and $100 in Chamber Checks — Brian and Christina Erwin, 709 Dugdale Ave.; Second place ($75 off December utility bill and $75 in Chamber Checks) — Todd Henderson, 1722 Viking Road; Third place ($50 off December utility bill and $50 in Chamber Checks) — Jeff and Deb Baumgarn, 1114 W. Lake Ave. Honorable mention — 117 Lake Ave., 545 Morningside Drive, 603 Ninth Ave., 622 Galena St., 1155 Scott Drive, 1766 Cecilee St., 804 Omaha Ave., 1512 Third Ave.
The business winner, which will receive $100 off the December utility bill and $100 off 2016 Chamber dues, is Ecumen Meadows, 1801 Collegeway.
