Letter: What will your health care cost?

Beginning Oct. 1, Minnesota citizens will be able to go online and check out health insurance plans. At the present time, you can go to and use the calculator to check out what plan you qualify for. There is bronze, silver, gold and platinum.

After using the calculator by putting in my income according to line 27 on the 1040 federal form, I found out that both my wife and me will have our rates nearly double for health care insurance, which is about an 82 percent increase. Check it out and see what you will be paying when the Affordable Care Act goes into effect.
