Help me, I'm lost!

Q: The Daily Globe Web site looks different. What's happening?

A: The Daily Globe redesigned its Web site on April 7 . The new Web site, still at our regular URL: www.dglobe.com, provides a wider format, an improved site search, additional home-page headlines and more daily updates. Please share your comments with us by sending them to: klucin@dglobe.com.

Q: I can't log on to the new Daily Globe Web site. What do I do?

A: The Daily Globe redesigned its Web site April 7 and users have to log on again with their user name and password. Even though you may already have an active account with dglobe.com or other Forum Communications newspaper Web sites, you will be required to log in again to dglobe.com. The technology setup requires this, but you will only have to do it once. After that, you should be able to access the site as easily as you always have.

Q: When I go to log in again, it is asking me for my password, but I do not remember it. What should I do?

A: If you have forgotten your password, you can visit dglobe.com, click “Login,” then enter your e-mail address in the “lost your password” area and then click on “reset my password.” Then dglobe.com will send a temporary password to the e-mail address listed.

That password can be used to temporarily log onto the site and reset to a unique password of your choice.

When you receive your temporary password, go to http://www.dglobe.com/?event=account:viewPasswordResetForm and put in your temporary password as well as the unique password of your choice. Then you should be able to log in as usual with your own chosen password.

Q: My dglobe.com Web bookmarks don't work. How can I get them back?

A: If you have bookmarks on your computer set to dglobe.com homepage, it should work just as it has before. If you have bookmarks for any other page within the dglobe.com Web site, you will have to re-bookmark them by finding the page you want to mark and going to "Favorites" under your navigation bar and clicking "add to favorites" or "add to bookmarks." You should only have to do this one time.

Q: The navigation menu is no longer along the left-hand side of the homepage. How can I find what I'm looking for?

A: The menu that used to run vertically along the left-hand side of the homepage now can be found horizontally at the top of the homepage. By clicking on any of those tabs at the top of the page, you will be automatically directed to that section of the Web site. You can also search for more specific content if you'd like. For example, when you click on the News tab at the top of the page, you will be taken to the news homepage. When you click on the News tab, you also will be given a list of news categories to consider.

In other words, if you only are interested in reading agriculture news, you can click on local and be directed to an agriculture news page. Or, if you are specifically interested in business news, you can click on the business tab and you will be directed to a business news page.

Q: What's a quick way on the new site to find stories I am interested in. I knew where to look before, but now I don't know.

A: All of the same content you've come to rely on at dglobe.com is still there. One of the best new features of the site is the larger search bar in the top right-hand corner of the homepage. By typing a keyword in this space, you will be directed to a page filled with related content. It's much improved from our previous search bar, and you will more easily be able to find content with our new site.

Q: I subscribe to the full online version of the Daily Globe, the electronic edition, but I can't find it on the new site.

A. Click on the Home button and underneath you will see a Subscribe link. Click on it and then click on "Log in to the Electronic Edition."
