Kramer claims fourth

CHICAGO -- For the first time in three weeks, Minnesota West's Kody Kramer was back on the mat.

At the Triton Open in Chicago Saturday, Kramer finished fourth after compiling a 3-2 record at 184 pounds.

"It was Kody's first time back in probably three weeks, so I was pretty pleased," MW head coach Bob Purcell said. "He had just a little jitters for the first time out. But I thought he did pretty good for the first time out in three weeks."

Danny Cordido (125), Jamal McAllister (133), Bryan Louis (165) and Jarek Bannister (heavyweight) each finished 0-2 in the tournament.

MW will have some time off before traveling to Rochester Jan. 8

"We'll be healthy and ready to go," Purcell said.
