PREP GIRLS' BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: T-M-B knocks off W-WG 63-61 in overtime thriller

WESTBROOK -- The Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers received a 3-pointer from Dayna Comnick with two seconds left in regulation to force Tuesday night's non-conference game with Tracy-Milroy-Balaton into overtime, but in the extra frame, it was the Panthers securing the victory 63-61 by outscoring the hosts from the charity stripe.

T-M-B (9-6) was led by Cassandra Hook with 20 points, Kate Johnston with 16 points and Sammie Gervais with 14 points.

Paige Erickson, who hit a 3 prior to Comnick's last-second triple in regulation to help the Chargers trim a five-point deficit late, led W-WG (6-7) with 21 points, 14 rebounds, four steals and four assists.

Comnick finished with 17 points, while Maddie Frank had nine points, Anne Woelber contributed six points, six rebounds and eight assists, and Katie Dusek grabbed five steals.

The Chargers host Ellsworth Saturday, while the Panthers are at Central Minnesota Christian Thursday.

SIBLEY, Iowa -- Alyssa Hibbing scored 17 points to lead the Sibley-Ocheyedan Generals past the Sheldon Orabs in a Siouxland Conference game Tuesday night.

Kayla Ackerman added 13 points for S-O (6-8, 5-7), which travels to Rock Valley Friday.

Sheldon (3-11, 2-10) hosts George-Little Rock Friday.

JACKSON -- Whitney Burmeister had a triple-double (22 points, 13 rebounds, 10 steals, seven assists), while Marita Rasche, Kaylee Burmeister and Angela Handzus each had eight points to lead Jackson County Central (10-7, 4-3) to a Southwest Conference win over Redwood Valley.

JCC plays at Luverne Friday.
