BOYS WRESTLING: Sheldon/South O'Brien wins S-O Invitational

SIBLEY -- Toby Maggert and Austin Rohrs captured weight-class championships as Sheldon/South O'Brien won the Sibley-Ocheyedan Invitational on Saturday.

At 160 pounds, Maggert claimed his crown when Cherokee's Luke Zeimen suffered an injury at the 3-minute, 6-second mark. Maggert is 11-2 this season.

At 182, Rohrs compiled a 5-0 shut out against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn's Jacob Letsche in the title bout. Rohrs is 11-1 this season.

The Orabs edged Ridge View 175-169½ to secure the team title. Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn (136½) was third, followed by MOC-Floyd Valley (122), Sibley-Ocheyedan 120½, Cherokee (117), Graettinger-Terril (83), West Lyon (82½) and Alta (67).

Other Sheldon/South O'Brien placers were Josh Gorter (126, second), Chaz DeRocher (120, third), Gunnar Klinker (145, third), Brian Klein (152, third), Darin Greenfield (170, third), Brytton Kelleher (195, third), Jesse Meendering (220, third) Dustin Freeman (132, fourth) and Bryce Kelleher (285, fourth).

The Generals were paced by second-place efforts from Tyler Reck (145), Tyler O'Connor (152) and Chris DeNoble (170).

Other Sibley-Ocheyedan placers included Kyle Green (126, third), Cole Hieronimus (138, third), Dylan Brockshus (182, third), Nic Salinas (220, fourth) and Andrew Brockshus (160, sixth).
