ROCHESTER — Better known for their scoring prowess, the Minnesota West Lady Jays led with their defense Saturday in bouncing Rochester Community and Technical College, 74-50. West held the Yellowjackets to 13 points in the first half and improved their record to 14-4 overall and 4-1 in the Southern Division.

In men’s play, a cold-shooting Minnesota West outfit fell to the Jackets 88-69, dropping the Bluejays’ winter mark to 13-5 overall and 4-1 in league play.
