PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Edgerton opens up season with a 65-48 win over Luverne

EDGERTON -- The Edgerton girls' basketball team won its first game of the season 65-48 in Thursday's game over Luverne.

Lindsey Drooger led the Flying Dutchmen (1-0) with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Sarah Post and Tanner Gunnink each added 12 points.

Gunnink added 14 rebounds for Edgerton while Breana Van Dyke had 11.

Luverne (0-2) was led by Logan Herman who had 15 points and eight rebounds. Megan Petersen and Kirsten Olson each added nine points for the Cardinals.

McKayla Schilling had five rebounds and five assists. Kaitlin Wohnoutka recorded four steals.

Edgerton plays next at Fulda today. Luverne will host Pipestone Tuesday.

Harris-Lake Park 63, Okoboji 30

LAKE PARK -- The Harris-Lake Park boys' basketball team defeated Okoboji 63-30 Thursday night.

The Wolves (2-0) were led by Brady Nissen who had 23 points. Eli Ihnen recorded 15 points and Colin Brons added 13.

Okoboji (0-2) was led by Dalton Syverson with seven points.

Harris-Lake Park's next game is Tuesday at West Bend-Mallard in Iowa.
