Prep track and field: Canby runs away with two wins in Pipestone

PIPESTONE — Canby finished with a pair of convincing wins Monday at the Pipestone Area Co-ed Meet.

The Lancer girls took first in 10 events to tally 167 points. The Arrows followed that with 112 with Southwest Minnesota Christian/Edgerton taking third at 108.5 and Hills-Beaver Creek finishing fourth at 49.5.

On the boys’ side, Canby won seven events for a winning total of 166. H-BC was second at 95 with SWC/E (91) and PA (89) taking third and fourth, respectively.

Claire Femrite and Shantelle Des Marais took individual firsts for the Arrow girls with Chantel Green winning once for SWC/E.

Zach Sholten and Corey Taubert won an event each for the Patriots. Josh Strangeland was a double-winner for PA with Jordan Ward and Dillon Mulske getting Flying Dutchmen wins.
