Nobles County 4-H member Blaine Doeden and his dog, Honey, earned champion advanced agility and champion jumpers 3 at the Minnesota State 4-H Dog Show last weekend at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Falcon Heights. Other Nobles County 4-H'ers exhibiting included Hannah Henning, who earned reserve champion beginner agility and a blue in Jumpers 1; and Faith White, who earned a white in elementary agility. Scott Nordby of Compeer Financial presents a $3,000 county fair upgrade grant to Katie Klosterbuer, Nobles County 4-H Program Coordinator, for improvements to the Nobles County Fairgrounds. The funds helped pay for new swine show stalls in Olson Arena, as well as new boards around the show ring, vent cleaning in McCarvel Hall, new locks, hinges, small kitchen appliances and more.
