The art of crafting canoes
Dick Berreth, White, S.D., holds a section of birch bark as he details the making of his reproduction Chippewa birch bark canoe for St. Mary's Catholic and Fulda Elementary School students Thursday afternoon at Minnesota West in Worthington. The canoe, handcrafted by Berreth, took more than 200 hours of labor to complete.
