A ‘super bowl’ of chili

Kelly Nelson found the Winterfest medallion for the second year in a row. “People have to think that I have no life,” said Nelson, who honed in on the medallion’s location after the second clue. Following hints, Nelson found it at the Freedom Shore Park and Veterans Memorial, saying it was the first place that popped into her head. Nelson hasn’t ironed out her plans for the prize money yet, but said she might take her mother for a pedicure. Jesse Trelstad/Daily Globe
