Daily Globe Publisher Joni Harms is honored Monday during the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce’s Salute to Women Banquet as the recipient of the second annual Inspirational Woman Award. Harms began her career with an internship in Worthington nearly 39 years ago. She served as president of the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau, and was also a board member and president of the United Way of Nobles County. The 19th annual Gospel Quartet performance took place last evening at Worthington’s American Reformed Church. The concert, a tradition initiated with the help of former Pastor Irwin Van Leeuwen, included four area Gospel quartets this year: Master’s Voice, Cornerstone, Gospel Gold and Kemper’s Quartet.
