MaKayla Ann Shea, 4 months, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008. Surviving are her parents, Kory and Susan Shea, Brandon; one sister, Alexis Shea, Brandon; grandparents Marlin and Marietta Clausen, Brewster, and Kent and Connie Shea, Slayton; and great-grandparents Ruth Casper, Brewster, Nellie Ellgen, Lake Wilson, and Rosella Shea, Fulda. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, S.D. The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Brandon Lutheran Church, Brandon.
Mark Steven Boswell, 27, of rural Denver, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at his home. Surviving are wife Lindsey; one daughter, Gillian; parents Mike and Mary Bremer Boswell, Cody, Wyo.; two sisters, Monica Boswell and Michele (Dusty) Schutzman, all of Cody, Wyo. and grandmother Betty Boswell, Bell Vista, Ark. The service was Oct. 17, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Cody, Wyo. Cremains will be returned to the mountain top he loved. Memorials are requested to Pinnacle Bank, Cody, Wyo.
Clyde Johnson, 89, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at his home. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Living Word Lutheran Church, Windom. The service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Living Word Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ernest Swenson officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, near Bergen. Osterberg Funeral Home, Jackson, is in charge of arrangements.
Melvin L. Essman, 81, of Luverne, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at his home. Arrangements are pending with Hartquist Funeral Home, Engebretson Chapel, Luverne.
Karl Heinrich "Henry" Oehmsen, 81, of George, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, in Bremen, Germany. Surviving are one daughter, Carola Vivian, George; one grandson; and special friend Annegret Knoch, Bremen, Germany. Memorial service arrangements are pending with Jurrens Funeral Home, George. Burial of cremains will be in Bremen, Germany.
Charlotte E. Finke, 86, of Welcome, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center, Fairmont. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kramer Family Funeral Home, Welcome, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Welcome. The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Welcome, with the Rev. Rodney Slessor officiating. Burial will be in Welcome City Cemetery.
Mae Whaylen, 93, of Sibley, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Sibley Nursing & Rehab Center, Sibley. Surviving are two daughters, Beach Ann (Steven) TeStroete Husk, Sioux City, Iowa, and Pamela (Ronald) Reinke, Sibley; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Jurrens Funeral Home, Sibley. The memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Jurrens Funeral Home, Sibley, with the Rev. Dale Lint officiating. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Holman Township Cemetery, Sibley.

George W. DeBeer, age 86, of Worthington, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Luverne. He was born September 28, 1922, in Lyon County, IA, near Ellsworth, MN, to Will and Aafke (Harms) DeBeer. George grew up and attended country school in Midland Township. He was baptized & confirmed at the Bethel Reformed Church. George served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. His ship, the USS St. Lo, was the first US ship to be sunk by kamikaze pilots. He was rescued after spending several days in the water. George married Darleene H.
Jean Paul "J.P." Tousignant, 40, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away Oct. 7, 2008. He was born Jan. 13, 1968, in Topeka, Kan., the son of Larry and Wilma Tousignant. J.P. was an avid soccer player and coach. He served in the U.S. Army in Desert Storm. He is survived by his wife, Jodee Reese Tousignant; two daughters, Jessica Paige and Lauren Parker Tousignant; father and stepmother, Larry and Amanda Tousignant; and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his mother.
