Elmer Theodore Walhof, 82, of Edgerton, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Pipestone County Hospice House, Pipestone. Surviving are his wife, Muriel Walhof, Edgerton; and six children, Jeanne (Preston) Kallemeyn, Rose (Bill) Van Nieuwenhuyzen, Don (Jolene) Walhof, Duane (Gayle) Walhof, Dean (Bev) Walhof, and Sandy (Don) Van Eck. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Colonial Funeral Chapel, Edgerton. The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Edgerton. Private burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Edgerton.
Marjorie "Marge" Tentinger, 79, of Slayton, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Our House Hospice Home, Slayton. Surviving are seven children, Gail (Byron) Moen, Chisago City, Peter (Vonna) Tentinger, Bemidji, Daniel (Jean) Tentinger, Slayton, Terry (Janet) Tentinger, Windom, Tammy (Vance) Smith, Fairbanks, Alaska, Jeffrey (Robin) Tentinger, St. Paul, and Mary (John) Risacher, Hadley; one brother, Clement Crowley, Omaha, Neb., one sister, Norbertine Costa, Twin Falls, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, with a parish rosary at 4:30 p.m.
Raymond Sipma, 93, of Pipestone, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Good Samaritan, Pipestone. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Assembly of God Church, Worthington. The service will be noon Saturday at the Assembly of God Church, Worthington. Burial will be in the Roseland Cemetery, Sanborn, Iowa. The Sanborn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ethel Olsen, 90, of Pipestone, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at Avera Heart Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hartquist Funeral Home, Pipestone Chapel. The service will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, Pipestone. Burial will be in Ihlen Cemetery.
Emory Beckman, 87, of Fulda, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home, Fulda. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Totzke Funeral Home, Fulda, and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Fulda. The service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Fulda.
Frank Vos was born on July 10, 1923 in Chandler, Minnesota, to Jake and Lillian Lindsey Vos. In 1928 the family moved to the Vos family farm in Mason Township, Murray County, MN. Frank attended country school Prairie Hope District #112. On March 9, 1945, Frank enlisted in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge on November 27, 1946, he returned to the family farm. On January 9, 1960, he and Marcella (Sally) Metz Molitor were married at St. Ann's Parsonage in Slayton, MN. Following their marriage they farmed the family farm northwest of Slayton.
Dora Marie Buchman, age 96, of Worthington, died Monday, October 20, 2008, at the Crossroads Care Center, in Worthington. Dora is survived by her stepson, Ray (Karen) Buchman, Worthington; six step grandchildren; 16 step great-grandchildren; eight step great-great-grandchildren; brother, Willie (Bernadine) Kunze, Worthington; four sisters, Alice Wilkens, Worthington; Helen Grimes, Worthington; Lorraine (Art) Schaap, Worthington; and Leatha Kunze, Worthington; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Kunze, Rapid City, SD.
