Some of it is usually good and some of it is usually not so good. This session it appears that there is only going to be the “not so good” stuff and in some cases it,s downright awful.
WORTHINGTON — Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS) will host a free Wills for Seniors Clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at the Center for Active Living, 211 11th St., Worthington.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington District 518 Community Education Department will be offering an eight-hour AARP Smart Driver class on April 20-21. The class will run from 6 to 10 p.m. both evenings and take place at the West Learning Center (formerly West Elementary building). Upon completion of this class, a driver will be eligible for a 10 percent discount on their vehicle insurance for the next three years.
LUVERNE --- Pipestone Area junior Tyl Woelber caught the attention of track and field enthusiasts across the state Tuesday when he cleared the high jump bar at six feet, seven inches at the 10-team Cardinal Relays on a nice early-spring day in Luverne. Woelber also won the long jump (21-2.5) and triple jump (43-2.5) events. He completed his day by running a leg on the Arrows’ winning 4x400-meter relay (3:36.02), teaming with Justin Kooiman, Carter Nesvold and Devin Tinklenberg.

Ambulance RUSHMORE — The Worthington Ambulance and Rushmore Rescue were dispatched at 11:34 p.m. Monday for an adult female experiencing chest pains.
WORTHINGTON — The Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Worthington will host its second annual Kiwanis Grocery Dash at 8 p.m. May 1 at Fareway Grocery.
WORTHINGTON — The E.O. Olson Trust Board annual meeting will be at 8 a.m. April 19 in the Worthington City Hall council chambers. The Olson Trust was created in 1964 by local businessman E.O. Olson as a fund designated for water-related projects. Only the interest earnings on the trust are spent. Funding opportunities will be considered at the meeting. Anyone considering projects related to Lake Okabena or the Okabena-Ocheda Watershed are invited to attend.
Ambulance WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched at 12:53 a.m. Monday for an adult male with chest tightness. WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Ambulance was dispatched at 6:20 a.m. Monday to the 600 block of James Boulevard for a female who had fallen. ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation will end spring weight restrictions in the southeast, south and metro frost zones Friday. Spring weight restrictions will end April 17 in the central zone.
ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is seeking volunteers for its citizen water monitoring programs. Participants “adopt” a lake or stream and track how clear the water is. Knowing the clarity of water helps the MPCA understand water health.
