DULUTH, Minn. -- A 20-year-old snowboarder who died Sunday as a result of injuries suffered in an accident at Spirit Mountain has been identified. Derek Harms, a student at Winona State University originally from Barrington, Ill., died Sunday afternoon, April 8, after an accident on the ski area's Big Air Terrain Park. The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office Tuesday said Harms "died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries due to a snowboarding accident."

FARGO — Dennis Millirons, who served as president of Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for four years, has died at age 66 in Texas. Millirons, who had more than 40 years of experience in hospital administration, was named president of Sanford Medical Center when Fargo-based MeritCare merged with Sanford Health, based in Sioux Falls, S.D., in November 2009.

WILLMAR, Minn. — A Willmar man was injured Wednesday afternoon when the pickup he was driving left the road and crashed into a row of farm equipment that was lined up in front of a Willmar business. The accident was reported at 5:03 p.m. on U.S. Highway 12 and Industrial Drive. According to the State Patrol, Derek Scott Heike, 27, was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram east on Highway 12 when he lost control of the vehicle on a curve and the truck went off the road and struck machinery at Farm-Rite Equipment.
CLOQUET, Minn. -- A 23-year-old man died in an early morning fire in Cloquet over the weekend.. The Cloquet Police Department identified Preston Jerald Alaspa of Cloquet as the victim in a fire on the Fond du Lac Reservation.
DULUTH — Two adults and a 2-year-old child died, and three others were injured in a crash involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 35 in Duluth during the early morning hours of Monday, April 2. A 1997 Toyota 4Runner, driven by Duluth resident Aaron David Dame, 23, was traveling north on southbound I-35 near 40th Avenue West when it struck a 2001 GMC Yukon head-on shortly before 1 a.m. Monday, according to the State Patrol. The crash killed both Dame and the Yukon’s driver, Duanda Letrice Robinson, 26, of Duluth, according to the State Patrol.
AITKIN, Minn.—A rare art window depicting the resurrection of Christ graces the east wall of the United Methodist Church in Aitkin in north-central Minnesota. The craft of painted glass windows flourished in the 19th century. The German-made window, purchased in Chicago by Horace Osterhout, traveled to Aitkin by train, according to information provided by the Aitkin church. At that time, the congregation drew up plans and expected to break ground on a church in 1915.
CLOQUET, Minn.—A Twin Cities humane society has removed 41 Chihuahuas from a Carlton County property in far northeast Minnesota. The Carlton County Sheriff's Office reported Friday, March 30, that it was contacted last week by officials from Animal Humane Society of Golden Valley, Minn., "regarding a complaint they received of 20-30 dogs living in filthy conditions."
NAYTAHWAUSH, Minn. -- The body of a man found in a residential yard in Naytahwaush on March 22 has been identified as Phillip Wade Jr., 22, of Naytahwaush, according to Mahnomen County Sheriff Doug Krier. Wade was well-known in Naytahwaush, a village of about 600 people on the White Earth Reservation in Mahnomen County, but was not known to the woman who found him in her yard.
