WORTHINGTON — Kelsey and Dustin Lonneman welcomed their first child, a boy, on Monday at Sanford Worthington Medical Center. The Lonnemans’ son, Grant Martin Lonneman, represented an additional first — the initial baby to be born in 2018 at the Worthington hospital. Grant came into the world at 10:25 a.m. Monday. Both Kelsey and Dustin hadn’t given much thought to welcoming a new year’s baby.
WORTHINGTON — A moratorium regarding the land use of asphalt plants within city limits was approved Monday by the Worthington City Council in a meeting light on agenda items.

JACKSON — About 90 people with interest in stimulating regional economic development convened Thursday at the Intivity Center for a new networking opportunity.
WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Event Center will be the place to be Sunday for anyone in the region who happens to be planning a wedding. The Event Center will host its annual Bridal Event, which is expected to feature about 40 vendors, from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The event formerly took place in the late winter, but is being presented in the fall for the second consecutive year.
WORTHINGTON — Kathy Mitchell couldn’t have been happier with her most recent annual check-up. Mitchell, who lives outside of Wilmont, saw Michelle Kutzke, a certified nurse practitioner and women’s health nurse practitioner who is the newest women’s health provider at Sanford Worthington Clinic. To say that she wouldn’t hesitate to schedule another medical visit with Kutzke is an understatement.
