Judy Lynn Freking and James Patrick Besson II were married July 18 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ashton, Iowa, with the Rev. Timothy Hogan and the Rev. Michael Hight officiating.
Parents of the couple are Norman and Janene Freking, Ashton, and James and Patsy Besson, Wall, S.D.
Maid of honor was Amelia Lammers. Bridesmaid was Genevieve Stalvig. Flower girl was Kelsie Freking. Personal attendant was Joanna Freking.
Best man was Jonathan Arnio. Groomsman was Joseph Besson. Ring bearers were Bryce Hanna and Jaysen Hanna. Ushers were Matthew Heiman and Andy Fick.
Music was provided by Bobbie Snow, organist; and Doug Dailey, vocalist.

The reception and dance were at the Ashton Legion Hall.
The bride and groom are both students at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion.
Following a wedding trip to Chicago, they live in Vermillion.
