WORTHINGTON — With the holidays upon us, and signature shopping events like Black Friday days away, it can be hard to know what to get for adults. Luckily, local stores have shoppers covered with gift ideas for grownups.

The Daily Apple boasts a large collection of essential oils and diffusers — great for someone looking to unwind after the stress of the holiday season. This health-centered shop offers a range of gifts, including gift cards, jewelry and SWIG-brand drinkware, from water bottles to steel wine cups. One of the shop’s biggest sellers is Warmie slippers and neck wraps, which can be placed in the microwave and then worn for extra warmth.

“It’s crazy because (Warmie products) have been super popular for like three years,” said The Daily Apple owner, Amanda Walljasper-Tate. “They continue to be crazily popular.”

The Daily Apple also provides free gift packaging for shoppers on the go.

Offering art, signage and a wide range of decorations for the holiday season, Adorn 1024 is a great place to pick up a gift for family members who love to decorate. They have a large selection of unique items including wintery centerpieces, ornaments and candles.

Buffalo Billfold is a go-to for handmade leather products — like a field bag made completely from the shop’s own design. It’s a perfect gift, according to store owner and leather craftsmen Bill Keitel, for someone who has an interest in the outdoors. There’s also leather-bound journals and legal pads, a variety of purses, jewelry, and tech accessories offered online and in store.

“Of course,” Keitel added, “wallets and billfolds are our stock and trade.”

Still, for customers looking to set someone up with a new set of tools, Schwalbach Ace Hardware offers a wide range of options — or maybe a grill, smoker, or snowblower. They also offer a variety of hats and gloves, as well kitchenware and décor.

“We have one of the larger décor and giftware departments in town,” said store manager, Deb Steinle. “Our giftware department has a variety of stuff for the home — cups and signs and different things that people just enjoy.”
