SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa — Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dickinson County will host Continuing Instruction Courses (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators at its office, 1600 15th St., Spirit Lake (unless otherwise noted), or viewed from office locations across Iowa. All courses begin at 9 a.m., with registration at 8:30 a.m.

Oct. 21: Roadside, Forest and Aquatic Pest Management CIC for commercial and public pesticide applicators certified in categories 2, 5, 6 and 10. Course is in the community building.

Oct. 28: Mosquito and Public Health Pest Management CIC for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 7D, 8 and 10.

Nov. 4: Ornamental and Turf Applicators CIC for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 3O, 3T, 3OT and 10. Course is in the community building.

Nov. 17: Fumigation CIC for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 7C and 10, and private pesticide applicators who are certified to apply fumigants.

Nov. 18: Commercial Ag Weed, Insect and Plant Disease Management CIC for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 1A, 1B, 1C and 10. Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in Soil and Water Management and Integrated Pest Management will be offered at this program. Interested participants should bring their CCA number.

Dec. 2: Pest Control Operators CIC for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 7A, 7B, 8 and 10.
