WASECA — The University of Minnesota’s Southern Research & Outreach Center (SROC) will host a virtual Winter Crops Day from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, with a session on soil science in the morning and agronomy topics in the afternoon.

The webinar is free, but participants must pre-register online at https://z.umn.edu/SROC-WCD2021. An email address is required to register and participants can join the webinar from a computer, tablet or phone.

Sessions will cover nitrogen rates for corn in southern Minnesota, nutrient crediting from manure, variable rate nitrogen, integrating cover crops and liquid injected manure, evaluating cropping systems for resiliency addressing environmental change, advancing intensive management of corn production for yield, profitability and nitrogen stewardship, managing foreign matter and weed seed in grain for exports while managing resistant weeds, and corn and soybean weed management.
