WORTHINGTON -- Mel Platt, chief executive officer of the Worthington Regional Hospital, has announced the appointment of Jennifer Weg, R.N., as the new director of patient care services. Weg will have overall responsibility for the nursing department and other patient care areas.
The appointment is effective April 1. Mrs. Weg replaces JoAnn Nyholm, R.N., who will retire March 31.
"Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the nursing department," said Platt. "Her knowledge, enthusiasm and energy will be a valuable asset to the hospital as we work through the transition to a new owner. We are proud to have her on board, and I am confident she will do an outstanding job in her new role."
Weg was employed by Nobles-Rock Public Health prior to becoming employed at Worthington Regional Hospital.
