ORANGE CITY, Iowa — The 2021 Four-State Dairy Nutrition and Management Conference is offered virtually June 9-10, providing the latest information in dairy nutrition and management.
The conference will feature sessions with Dr. Bill Weiss discussing updated energy systems for dairy cows; Dr. Jim Drackley explaining a new system for determining the nutrient requirements of young dairy calves; and a panel discussion with Weiss, Drackley and other nutritionists about how cows will be fed in the future. Additional sessions on June 10 will address hypocalcemia treatment and prevention, improving lactation performance using high digestible forage, lactation research on reduced lignin alfalfa and corn silage fiber digestibility.
Numerous breakout topics will also be offered.
All presentations will be pre-recorded and made available to participants for viewing before the conference and for 60 days after the conference. Participants are encouraged to watch the recorded presentation before the conference and come with questions.
