Fall Fiesta is theme for Women in Ag September gathering

SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa — Women in Agriculture are invited to attend a Fall Fiesta hosted by Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Dickinson County office on the fairgrounds in Spirit Lake.

The program is part of the northwest Iowa Annie’s Alumni group, which strives to provide opportunities for education and networking of northwest Iowa women in agriculture. Annie’s Alumni is a spin-off of the well-known Extension “Annie’s Project” Women in Ag program. All women with an interest in agriculture are welcome to attend.

The Fall Fiesta will center around the theme of pre-harvest meal planning and prep. Attendees will discuss resources to help with easy meal prep, look at recipes and options, eat a sample meal and create freezer meals to prepare for the busy harvest season.

There is no cost to participate. An RSVP is requested to plan adequately for meals, materials and seating. To RSVP, contact Katie at (712) 336-3488 or, or visit
