Health center will mark year anniversary on Tuesday

WINDOM — The Wound & Hyperbaric Healing Center at Windom Area Health (WAH) will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a baseball-themed community event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A celebration of healing time is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. with tours and socializing to follow. Free hot dogs, peanuts and crackers jacks will be provided.

The Wound & Hyperbaric Healing Center has provided specialized care for more than 150 patients, encountering 1,400 wound care visits and seven Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) patients since opening in late July of 2018. Along with HBO treatments, other advanced healing treatments available at the center include, negative pressure wound therapy, bio-engineered skin substitutes, biological and biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.
