WORTHINGTON - Many local businesses will be closed Monday in observance of Christmas Day.
Worthington city offices will be closed on Monday, as will Nobles County offices. Also closed Monday will be the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce.
All Worthington financial institutions will be closed on Monday. The Nobles County Library will also be closed that day.

All local grocery stores will be closed on Christmas Day. Hy-Vee Food Store will close at 5 p.m. Sunday and re-open at 6 a.m Tuesday. Fareway Food Store will be closed on Sunday (as is usual) and Monday, while Wal-Mart will close at 6 p.m. Sunday and re-open at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
All Schaap sanitation garbage and recycling routes normally scheduled for Monday will be picked up on Tuesday.
The Globe offices will be closed Monday, as well as early on Friday at 3 p.m.
