Small grain workshop scheduled in Slayton

The small grains workshop will focus on production agronomics, variety selection and economics and more

SLAYTON — University of Minnesota Extension will offer a small grain workshop from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 17, at the Murray County 4-H Building, Slayton, to address successful small grain management. A crops program will precede the workshop, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and lunch is included.

The small grains workshop will focus on production agronomics, variety selection and economics, and include an open-forum discussion for related topics and on-farm experiences.

The workshop is sponsored by the Minnesota Wheat Research and Promotion Council. Lunch is included with registration. Registration is free, and is required to assist with meal planning. Register at z.umn.edu/SGWorkshop or contact Jared Goplen at (320) 589-1711, ext. 2128.
