MANKATO — Construction on westbound Interstate 90 from east of South Dakota to Luverne will begin Monday, June 7. Motorists are advised to expect lane restrictions and ramp closures during construction.
Westbound I-90 traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lanes, reducing traffic to a single lane, head to head configuration. No detour is anticipated for through traffic on I-90.
The U.S. 75 westbound exit and entrance ramps will be closed during construction and traffic will be detoured to Rock County 3 and 4.
Construction on the 13 miles of I-90 is expected to be complete in early September and includes resurfacing the existing westbound pavement and bridge repairs. PCiRoads LLC. was awarded the project with a bid of $4,844,421.70.
