After initially working in broadcast news, Carolyn Lange has spent the majority of her nearly 40-year career in print journalism and photography.
She lives on a farm in rural New London, where she raises chickens and maintains ridiculously large vegetable gardens.

RJ and James Orsten, two brothers who raise cattle north of Willmar under the name Cardinal Creek Cattle Company, are trying to get the message out that they are looking for land to rent and that they do, indeed, know what they’re doing.
A Craftsman-style bungalow built in 1910 in Bird Island has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. Owned by the Bird Island Cultural Centre, the structure earned the spot on the list in April. After expected repairs are completed, it's hoped the building will be open to the public within the next two years.
Built around 1858, the Endreson cabin has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1986. Located north of Willmar the cabin is one of the county's oldest existing buildings — still on its original site — with strong historical links to the events of the War of 1862.
