WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Area Foundation presented financial gifts to numerous local and area organizations during its annual awards program Monday evening at First State Bank Southwest.

The following awards were presented:

Civil Air Patrol — $1,500 from Worthington Area Community Foundation Endowment Fund for operational support. Project Morning Star — $1,000 from WACF Endowment Fund for van purchase. Worthington International Festival — $1,000 from WCAF Endowment Fund. Nobles County Art Center — $800 from Ellen Baker-Merrigan Advised Endowment Fund for art workshops. Love INC — $1,000 from Ellen Baker-Merrigan Advised Endowment Fund for developing relationships. Special Olympic Minnesota Inc. — $1,000 from WACF Endowment Fund for Worthington Warriors fall/winter season. Worthington Regional Health Care Foundation — $2,000 from WACF Endowment Fund for all-inclusive playground at Chautauqua Park. Reading Community Center — $1,000 from WACF Endowment Fund for seating for all. District 511, Adrian — $1,500 from WACF Endowment Fund for high school varsity cheer team improvements and expansion. Worthington Hockey Association — $1,500 from Robert and Florence Wolff Memorial Endowment Fund for hockey rental equipment. Greater Round Lake Community Association — $700 from WACF Endowment Fund for KIDZ Korner. District 518, Worthington — $1,250 from Roy and Dorothy Nasers Family Endowment for summer band and WHS choral department jackets. District 518, Worthington — $1,000 from WACF Endowment Fund for Celebration Chorus’ biannual Celebration of the Young Musician. Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council: $500 from WACF Endowment Fund for dental project. Worthington Christian School — $1,400 from WACF Endowment Fund for K-6th grade iPad ACCESS. District 518, Worthington — $2,500 from Robert and Florence Wolff Memorial Endowment Fund for STEM Makerspace. Worthington Christian School — $500 from WACF Endowment Fund for basketball hoop. District 518, Worthington — $1,593.77 from Ellen Baker-Merrigan Advised Endowment Fund for Robotics regional competition. Immigrant Law Center — $2,000 from Ellen Baker-Merrigan Advised Endowment Fund for Southwest Minnesota Immigration Project. Worthington Area Symphony Orchestra — $900 from WACF Endowment Fund for biannual concerts. Nobles County Historical Society — $1,000 from WACF Endowment Fund for large format photograph display.
