Blood donation opportunities scheduled

Dates set in Chandler, Slayton, Worthington

The American Red Cross is urging healthy individuals to make an appointment to give blood or platelets this month. Appointments may be made by downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App , visiting RedCrossBlood.org , calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enabling the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device.

The following are upcoming donation opportunities:

Chandler: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 2, Community Center, 300 Carlton Ave.

Slayton: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 1 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 2, Lake Sarah Baptist Church, 1613 191st St.

Worthington: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 7, Minnesota West Community & Technical College, 1450 Collegeway; 1 to 7 p.m. April 15, American Reformed Church, 1720 Burlington Ave.

Individuals who give blood or platelets April 1-15 will automatically be entered to win a VIP trip for four to the 2022 Indianapolis 500. The Red Cross will also automatically enter all who come to give in April for a chance to win one of five $1,000 e-gift cards to a merchant of choice.
