Books, other donations sought for library sale

Event being planned by Friends of Jackson County Library

JACKSON — The Friends of the Jackson County Library group is accepting donations for its annual book sale from now through Aug. 31.

The event provides supplemental funds for programs, materials and other extras for the Jackson, Lakefield and Heron Lake libraries.

Books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, LPs, puzzles and games can be dropped off in Jackson at the Historic State Theater and Sunshine Foods. Textbooks, encyclopedias and magazines will not be accepted.

People who need help with dropping off books, or have a large number, may contact a librarian at (507) 847-4748 in Jackson, (507) 662-5782 in Lakefield or (507) 793-2641 in Heron Lake.
This year’s book sale is scheduled for September.
