RUSHMORE — The 29th annual “Flying Farmer Fun Fly,” an air show featuring remote control model aircraft, will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday near Rushmore.

This year’s event is being hosted as a memorial to David Boldt, who hosted the Fun Fly on his farm for its initial 28 years. Boldt died in March at age 87.

The location remains the same for this year’s event — 21318 300th St. (also known as Boldt International Airfield), which is four miles south and 1.75 miles west of Rushmore. Efforts are also underway to create a model aircraft museum on the property. To see photos from the farm, visit dglobe.com.
