Local FEMA applicant briefing is Oct. 12

WORTHINGTON — An applicant briefing meeting with officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency is planned for 9 a.m. Oct. 12 at the School Park Community Room, 108 N. Drake Ave., Rushmore.

The meeting is expected to take between an hour and a half and two hours.

The FEMA Disaster Declaration covers the incident period of June 15 to July 11. Public jurisdictions with qualifying damages will need to have a representative at this meeting to complete a Request for Public Assistance.

To complete the form, jurisdictions will need the following information: primary contact phone number and email, alternate contact phone number and email, physical address (no PO boxes), mailing address and DUNS number.
