WORTHINGTON — The Nobles County Historical Society has extended the deadline to Nov. 30 for people to submit images for its photo contest.

The society seeks images taken in Nobles County during the following periods: pre-1930; and 1930-1970, particularly agriculture, farming, rural life, town life, festivals/parades, street scenes, disasters; town baseball teams, city band concerts, county fairs and other public events, family life, recreational activities, church gatherings, school activities and youth organizations.

Individuals may enter up to five different photos in the contest, and photographs, slides or negatives are accepted.

To submit entries, deliver them to the NCHS office, located in the lower level of the War Memorial Building, 407 12th St., Worthington. Images may be emailed to Please call 376-4431 for specific instructions on size and resolution of images to be emailed.
