WORTHINGTON  - District 22 Sen. Bill Weber will be among those in attendance at an “Advocate for the Arts” coffee party set for 4 p.m. Friday at Memorial Auditorium Performing Arts Center, 714 13th St.

The event is being hosted by the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council, Minnesota Citizens for the Arts and Memorial Auditorium. Weber - who serves on the Legacy Finance Committee, which oversees arts funding by the state - will speak about the importance of the arts and access to arts funding in southwest Minnesota. State arts funding supports artists and organizations in all 87 counties across MInnesota.
