WORTHINGTON — Pork chops are on the menu Friday and Sunday at the Nobles County Fairgrounds.
In a new partnership, the 4-H food stand will be selling pork chops donated and cooked by JBS.
JBS managers and trainees will grill the pork chops from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Nobles County 4-H Program Coordinator Katie Klosterbuer said JBS has donated meat in year’s past for the 4-H Food Stand. What’s different this year, she added, is that they’ll have a more active role on site.
JBS Human Resource Director Len Bakken said the company has been looking for more ways to partner with the local 4-H and FFA chapters.
“Because they’re our future leaders,” he said.
Bakken said JBS will furnish the meat and W-2’s Quality Meats is cutting them.
All proceeds will benefit the Nobles County 4-H program.
