WORTHINGTON — The Globe’s annual “Best Of” contest is back again, and it’s more popular than ever.

For the third year, The Globe is offering a chance for readers to put their favorite local businesses in the spotlight with “Best Of The Globe 2019.” With more than 10,000 votes cast over the contest’s first three days, interest and enthusiasm are both high.

Votes for businesses in the Minnesota counties of Nobles, Cottonwood, Jackson, Murray, Pipestone and Rock, along with Osceola County in Iowa, are being accepted. Votes will be collected in multiple categories under the banners of Food, Arts and Entertainment, Professionals, Retail and Services.

This is a chance for readers to celebrate the successful businesses, big and small, throughout the region. Whether it’s outstanding customer service, business location or production selection — or any number of other assets — readers can use their ballots to select the “Best of The Globe.”

The nomination period for “Best of the Globe” has already been completed, and voters have enjoyed the opportunity to pick between the top five nominations in each category since Oct. 2. Voting will continue until Oct. 19, and winners will be announced in a special section published in the Nov. 16 edition of The Globe.

Businesses earning Superior honors will receive a plaque, while window clings will be presented to those chosen as Excellent. Along with the acknowledgment of “Best Of” recognition comes the prestige of bragging rights, too,

“I’m excited about this year’s contest,” said Roberta Fultz, The Globe’s advertising manager. “People are invested in their communities and local businesses, and the contest has grown exponentially this year. I love the opportunity to give back — to honor quality work and the people committed to making their communities great.”
