WORTHINGTON — A community open house for the W.E.L.L. (Welcome, Education, Library and Livability) project will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Worthington Fire Department. All community members are welcome to attend.

Project staff and leaders will be present to provide information about the W.E.L.L. project process and to engage with community members. Entities involved with the W.E.L.L. Project include the city of Worthington, Nobles County and Independent School District 518. The open house is an opportunity for all from the community to have their voices heard and questions answered in regards to the project.

In the past, several high-profile guests, including the State Senate Bonding Committee, have toured the community in relation to the W.E.L.L. project and the possible bonding it may receive from the state of Minnesota. The project stands as a highlight of the environment of cooperation between multiple organizations that is an emerging trend across the state.
