WORTHINGTON — Radio Works and the Lake Okabena Improvement Association have made the decision to cancel the Beach Bash due to COVID-19.
This would have been the fifth annual Beach Bash on the shores of Lake Okabena at Centennial Park. The event is normally hosted on July 3 and draws large crowds to the city park in Worthington for food, music and fun. The event has raised thousands of dollars to improve Lake Okabena and the community of Worthington that surrounds it.
Radio Works Owner/GM Chad Cummings and LOIA President Jason Vote agreed that the safety and health of the patrons is of utmost importance.
“We appreciate the support the community has offered our event and the lake association,” Cummings said. “We hope to see everyone next year.”
