WINDOM — The Sons of Norway Stavanger Lodge will host its monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 20, at the Cottonwood County Historical Society Museum, 812 Fourth Ave., Windom.
The program will feature LaVerne Christianson, who spent his extra time during COVID writing.
Now, 12 short stories and two poems later, Christianson will share the story about why and how his new hobby started. He will also describe the process he uses in writing a story from beginning to finished project.
Christianson will also read one of his short stories dedicated to his friends in Stavanger Lodge. Christianson is a long-time member of the lodge and a former teacher at Windom Area Schools.
Refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to attend the free program.
The Lodge meets the third Saturday of each month from November through March.
The mission of the Sons of Norway is to promote, preserve and cherish a lasting appreciation for the heritage and culture of Norway and other Nordic cultures while growing soundly as a fraternal benefit society. The Stavanger Lodge in Windom was chartered in 1974.
